The 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to dazzle millions as it returns to the streets of New York City on Thursday, November 27, marking one more spectacular year in its nearly century-long tradition.
This year’s parade will feature 32 larger-than-life character balloons and three balloonicles, floating through Manhattan’s iconic route, weather permitting. Known as one of the largest parades in the world, the event officially kicks off the holiday season with a stunning combination of giant balloons, creative floats, and live performances.
Alongside the massive balloons, spectators can expect 27 themed floats, four specialty units, 33 clown groups, 11 marching bands, and a variety of musical performances. The parade will conclude with the grand arrival of Santa Claus, symbolizing the start of the holiday celebrations.
Macy’s continues to keep the parade fresh by introducing new elements each year inspired by pop culture and fan-favorite franchises. For 2025, seven brand-new floats will make their debut, including a highly anticipated Labubu-themed float, along with five new balloon characters joining the lineup.
Parade executive producer Will Coss described the event as a cornerstone of American holiday tradition, stating that the larger-than-life balloons, stunning floats, and unforgettable performances will once again create cherished memories for families across the nation.
With a mix of classic favorites and exciting new additions, the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade promises to deliver a vibrant and festive experience for viewers both in New York City and watching at home.
