Mark Wahlberg Shares Health Update After Daughter’s ‘Terrifying’ Horseback Riding Accident
Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg says his daughter Grace is the real “fighter” after suffering a terrifying horseback riding accident earlier this month. The actor shared a positive update about her recovery, praising her strength and discipline.
Grace Wahlberg’s Injury Scared the Whole Family
Mark Wahlberg, 54, told Access Hollywood on Nov. 12 that his daughter is recovering well after the scary fall.
“She’s doing great. It was terrifying. It’s a very dangerous sport, but she’s so passionate about it,” he said.
Grace, 15, is a competitive horseback rider. On Nov. 2, she posted a picture on Instagram from a hospital bed, arm in a sling, with the caption:
“No pressure, we will be back.”
She did not share exact details of how the accident happened, but the picture confirmed she suffered an arm injury.
Grace Wanted to Return to Riding Immediately
Wahlberg revealed that Grace was more worried about being kept away from the sport rather than the injury itself.
“All she wanted to do was get back on that horse — no pun intended,” he said.
“She was chomping at the bit, afraid we might stop her from riding. But she’s so passionate and dedicated.”
A Grueling Routine: Up at 4 AM and Riding 7 Days a Week
The “Flight Risk” actor praised Grace’s discipline and love for the sport. He shared that she trains intensely:
- Waking up at 4 a.m.
- Going to the barn seven days a week
- Constant practice sessions
- Nonstop dedication to competitive riding
Wahlberg said her commitment inspires him every day.
